From Pippi: Welcome to my page!
Anytown An ongoing story set in any town/city during the present.
WhovilleStories taking place within that town.
Various Worlds Stories that take place in other fictional settings.
Sometimes stories will appear in multiple sections because they involve going from one setting or dimention to another. I.E. Starting out in Anytown of this world and going to some other world and visa versa.
And with the Twilight craze, comes:
*drumroll*
Stranded With Vampires
Characters Look at character profiles and listen to them speak. Character Expression"> a place where characters express themselves in the form of conversations or journals on whatever prompts them to speak up in a writer/rpger's head.
what might Pippi Longstocking be like as an adult?
Tastefully and respectfully treated by a fan, She has grown up and abandoned excessive childish goofiness to come into her own as a force to be reckoned with and taken seriously. Time and again, she proves exemplary and is often the one who holds it together when everyone else falls apart in tough situations.
She maintains her amazing physical strength, sense of adventure and humor, compassion, slyness and notable physical features for which she has always been famous and remembered.
She gets a very different treatment from what many if not most fans of any famous fictional characters tend to do.
To begin with, and probably most importantly, Pippi does not have a fan-made romantic interest, lover or spouse, (Gary Stu) and lots of fan-made little kids running around (little Gary Stus and Mary Sues.) There are no fan-made long lost relatives (more Mary Sues/Gary Stus) either. If you don't know what a Mary Sue/Gary Stu is, the Mary Sue page has info on that type of character. The "Who and What Is Mary Sue" section explains the character type and why it's both hated and written into just about every fanfiction or role-play that deals with book, movie and TV characters out there; though most fanfic authors would probably rather die than admit that's what they're doing. She does not get subjected to that here.
This is online writing/roleplaying one fan has done with other people, as well as on her own. It isn't fanfiction which takes place in a specific fanfic "universe" nor is it strictly original character writing with only fan-created characters, but a combination of famous established fictional characters and those that are made up by this fan and other online writer/roleplayers, taking place in various settings.
It is not set years in the future, or in the past, but in the present time. Whatever time that is, depends on when it is being written, and when you happen to be reading it. Characters may on occasion be transported into the past, but not long term, (unless they are written out altogether) and usually for a purpose.
Please see the Tribute to Astrid Lindgren - if it hadn't been for her, there would be no great Pippi books, She has been an inspiration and brought much happiness to her readers.
Inspiration is the section of the page where you get to read and contribute your stories and comments about Pippi and how she has helped or inspired you in some way.

Going to the source code to insert the code for the background sound on this page, and it didn't work! Argh!

ARGH!!! I looked in the wiki manual but for inserting sound you have to fiddle about with some Google player, talk about making things complicated! Gah, this stinks!

*Sigh* Sorry, I couldn't get it to work either, not even by setting a code in the css and javascript section.

Well, that's okay, gals, I got sick of hearing my own voice in the audio welcome.
